About her Mother, Donna Rand:

“I worked as a Financial Adviser for twenty seven years, while married and raising four children. Next I became an entrepreneur as an owner/landlord of my commercial building for seventeen years. I have curled competitively…our team won the BC Provincial Ladies Finals in 1982 as well as a Gold Medal at the BC Winter Games that year.

After my husband passed away, I watch three of our four children go through divorce and nursed my second partner through cancer for 6 months, before he passed away. Shortly after that loss, my eldest daughter passed away leaving an only son behind. His Dad has since remarried…life must go on. It has been such a pleasure, to have my nine grandchildren play such a big part of my life. I am very grateful for each relationship and the quality time we continue to share. My parents entrusted me with their Powers of Attorney and Health Representation Agreements which was a tremendous honor. Last year, they both passed away within two months of each other. It is very important to me, to always encourage and support my children and grandchildren with their individual endeavors. I am most proud of the relationships I have maintained with my daughters and their respective families.I am now retired and happily married to a wonderful man that I have known for forty years.”
